Full Time Gymnastics Coach
The Yellowknife Gymnastics Club is looking for an energetic, passionate and experienced Full time Gymnastics Coach to join our dedicated team!
Qualifications
- A Minimum C1 certification in MAG (Men’s Artistic Gymnastics) or WAG (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics)
- Gymnastics Foundations Trampoline certified
- 2 years of coaching experience
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification
- Completed Respect in Sport training
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Duties
- Coaching Recreational Classes as required
- Coaching Competitive Classes as required
- Coaching User groups as required
- Developing and updating class plans and progression charts
- Responsible to report on athletes’ progress with athlete, parent and head coach
- Completing Report Cards and evaluations
- Maintain coaching standards as outlined in the coaches code of conduct and NCCP Making Ethical Decisions
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
- Attending course training and staff meetings
- Ensure the gym and equipment is safe, organized and clean, maintenance and housekeeping needs repaired
- Supervise and evaluate the recreational and competitive athletes
- To demonstrate a sensibility to children’s needs and provide encouragement
- Activates emergency procedures as required
- YKGC may require the Coach to perform additional duties not listed in this job description but required for the successful operation of the club
